Away with them! Round 3

So we are trying again. Getting rid of those damn soothers that have become such a thorn in our sides with Bess. After hitting and complete fits because we took it from her mouth so she could eat her breakfast we banned them from all time outside of the crib. This time we actually followed through with this and the last week or so she has gone soother free outside of the crib. She was even willingly handing them over to us when she wanted out of the crib. She was even sleeping through the night again.

However, the sleep seemed to have reverted back a bit with her waking up multipule times at night because she had dropped her soother. I really shouldn't say dropped, it has slid from her mouth and is sitting inches away but yet she is unable to move her hand and put it back in herself. So instead she screams until one of us come and sticks it back in her mouth.

Well, I'm tired of this. My husband is tired of this, so today marks our first day and night 100% soother free. Nap time went well. She fussed for about 5 minutes then slept for an hour and a half. Not quite long as usual, but still enough. She has been in bed now for an hour and a half and she has been fussing on and off the entire time. But we are not giving in this time. It sounds like she has gone to sleep now. I will keep my figures crossed. We may be in for a long night...
