This is how real woman do laundry..

Our washing machine broke. It broke over 2 weeks ago now. We have been meaning to buy a new one. But we haven't.

We also have a laundry mat right beside our apartment. However, with two small children around, both of which are sick right now, getting down to it seems like an impossible task.

My solution? Doing some laundry by hand. In my beloved bathtub.

Was it very effective you ask? No. Not.At.All.

Did the clothes come clean? Yes....... they are cleaner than they were before.

Did it take long? The clothes were much dirtier than I expected, and I could see how gross the water got, so it took me about 30 minutes just to get the water to run clear. By that time I didn't want to be washing clothes anymore. I probably have a dryer full of soapy clothes right now.

Would you do it again? Probably, although not if I don't have too.

In the end I think it would have been easier to just run down to the laundry mat and leave the husband with the kids for a couple of minutes. My clothes probably would have been a bit cleaner too... only a little bit though. My feet a lot of work getthing those clothes clean.

On a different note:

Monster Round-up is going to be changing things up. As of the moment I am writing this blog, a blog for my family and my photography/design blog. It is getting to be a bit of a pain keeping up with all 3, so I will be combining this one with my family blog. So what does that mean? Monster Round-up is going to get a new look and a new name. Also, along with my regular posts I will be doing one post in danish a week. This is mostly so I can practice my danish and so my danish family and friends can laugh at how horrible it is.

I am not sure when this change will come, but I am hoping it is soon.
